2009 Jan 31   Spin Like a Celt
Nearly 20 new and old friends of the Celtic Learning Project gathered at Anna Liffey's Restaurant and Pub to learn and practice the art of working with the drop spindle. We will hold more "hands-on" workshops in the future.

2009 Mar 14   New Haven St. Patrick's Day Parade
The Celtic Learning Project will once again add some historical color to the long-running New Haven St. Patrick's Day Parade. Whether you want to charge down the street wearing a historically-accurate wool outfit brandishing sword and shield, or want to cheer from the sidelines, it is a great day for all. Contact cyril.may@yale.edu if you would like to march with us.

Continuing its tradition, friends and members of the CLP will march in the parade dressed in Iron Age Celtic clothing. Please join us!

2009 May 16 -- 2009 May 17   Celtic Skills Gathering
Ancient Celtic Clans, sister organization to CLP, has invited lovers of Celtic history to join them in learning and practicing ancient skills. Blacksmithing, archery, slinging and other arts will be shared. CT members of CLP are likely to form a contingent heading to the Hudson Valley region of New York. 2009 May 23   Common Ground High School Spring Fair (Tentative)
Join the CLP in sharing the ancient arts of storytelling and drop spinning at the Spring Fair held at Common Ground High School. Common Ground is a charter school with a focus on agricultural and environmental education. They will be shearing sheep and we will be spinning wool! No experience necessary.

2009 Jul 08   Live Like a Celt Day
The Celtic Learning Project will once again provide its "Live Like a Celt Day" program for one day of the IACC's Irish Camp, July 6-10, 2009. If you would like to volunteer for that day please contact CJ May at cyril.may@yale.edu. If you have children interested in the week long camp contact John Mackey at john.mackey@sbcglobal.net
